1901 family were living @ Ballyalton Comber and father was John M.Chambers

Circa 1912 to 1918
CHAMBERS FAMILY
17 Mill Street, Newtownards
Henry Steele Chambers (Harry) and Mary Chambers (whether the mother or her daughter, I don't know) both signed the Ulster Covenant, giving
this as their address. Edward Magee Chambers, George Chambers, Henry Steele Chambers and brother-in-law William Clarke are all listed
as living here in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland's Roll of Honour 1914-1919. I can only assume that this was the Chambers family home
for the remainder of the Chambers children with the exception of the two oldest boys, James and John who had already left home by 1911
and both were married by 1913.

Chambers, Mary - 1912 - Of 17 Mill Street- Signed the Ulster Covenant

Chambers, Edward - Deck Boy H.M.T. Joseph Connell 1914-1918 - Of 17 Mill Street

Circa 1919 to 1986
CHAMBERS FAMILY
77 William Street, Newtownards
Chambers Family Home 1919 to 1986 Newtownards. John Chambers (the junior) wouldn't have lived here when he was younger as he was
already married. He did, however, live here in his later years with wife, Margaret (nee Kelly) and his two sisters - Edith and Margaret (Daisy).
The house remained in the family from about 1919 until Edith's death in 1986. All four are now buried beneath the same tombstone in Movilla
Cemetery. Annie Chambers is also recorded as living here in her death notification and will probate. {see deaths above}
The other younger boys lived here as well - Henry Steele Chambers, Edward Magee Chambers, Hugh Chambers and
William Thomas Chambers until they left for Australia. I can only assume that Mary Chambers nee Whitla, their mother, lived here also.
I have no record of her death, only that she was still alive in December of 1927 when Hugh and Isabella married.

1922 - Hugh Chambers was a member of Dr.Wrights Memorial Pipe Band - Image of Hugh HERE and page about band HERE

Chambers, James - 1920 - Leased a house,office and yard at 7 Scrabo Townland
