David
Hollinger thinks it may be Eddie Mullen of Windmill Row who had his own band,
his wife was a Gregory of Georges Street .. can anyone confirm ...? Michael McDowell
has confirmed that it was.
I asked my mother about Eddie Mullen. in the early 1960s my family lived
in Upper Movilla Street. Eddie, his wife Maud, and their children Harry
and Maud were neighbours. In the photo of Eddie, that is his wife Maud in
the photo on the wall behind him. You are right in thinking her maiden
name was Gregory. Eddie played at dances with his nephew, also called
Eddie Mullen (I think he worked for the Water Board) and Monty McDonald. Michael
Rita was the Aunt of Margaret
