Marshall, Frederick Samuel - 1929 - Emigrated with his wife Margaret "Maggie" Cavan and 4 children, 3 daughter and 1 son to Canada |
Hi, Derek, The first rule of genealogy is keep
trying..... So... today when, with no real hope, I once again googled Robert Cavan I was
surprised to find your site, which I had visited before. Your great uncle
James Armour Beattie, b about 1887 married Alice Cavan,
whose older sister Margaret was my grandmother.
She married Fredrick Marshall and had three daughters and one son, my
father. He came to Canada in 1929. Walter Cavan, as you probably know was the father
of Harry Hartrick Cavan.
His daughter was widowed and married a Canadian. They live a few hours from me.
You gave me something very special: the photo of the gravestone in Newtownards.
Thanks for posting it.
